IdeaEngine / a place to try things

Ideas are easy.Building helps.

I use IdeaEngine to test ideas, build small things, and see which ones deserve to become something bigger.

Some turn into products. Some stay experiments. All of them teach me something.
idea → build
remember anything later
make money easier to see
verify a deal before buying
say this word properly
store numbers without cloud
what if this became a game?
Loose thoughts

It usually starts
with a small annoyance.

Not every idea needs a business plan. Sometimes the best way to understand one is to make the smallest useful version and put it in your hands.

memory“Where did I save that?”
money“Why is budgeting so hard to read?”
shopping“Is this deal actually good?”
language“How do I pronounce this properly?”
privacy“Can this work fully offline?”
play“Can one mechanic be fun?”
Things that made it further

Some ideas
became real.

These aren’t concept cards. They’re products and prototypes I’ve actually spent time shaping, testing and building.

How IdeaEngine works

Think less.
Make sooner.

01
Start with the problem.

Usually a real annoyance, not a trend I’m trying to force into something.

02
Make the smallest useful version.

Enough to feel the idea, test the flow and discover what the mockup was hiding.

03
Keep what earns its place.

If it becomes useful, I keep pushing it. If not, the lesson goes into the next thing.

No mysterious signal required

Have an idea?
Tell me normally.

If you want to talk about a product, an experiment, or something you’re not quite sure how to build yet, that’s probably a good place to start.
